Project 06- Vehicle Concept Drawing

DUE:


-Guidelines- On 11"x17" pages, design a vehicle that has no wheels. It can fly, float, dive, swim, or hover.

(In following project, on another 11"x17" page, you will design a pilot that looks related to the vehicle based on its similar design theme (ex. shape, patterns, features, characteristics))


We will follow the design process in steps-


Design Process (per subject)-

1. Side silhouettes (5 minimum)
2. Top view silhouettes (2 minimum)
3. Line draw over thumbnails (4 minimum; 2 over side silhouette, 2 over top silhouette)
4. Rough perspective block in
5. Rough clean up
6. Tone
7. Highlights
8. Details
9. Final Presentation (Vehicle @ 3/4 View in 2 Pt. Perspective)



Should have 3 minimum printed pages for Vehicle project-

PAGE 1: Thumbnails (Side & Top/Front Solid Silhouettes)

Project 04 Sketching on Toned Paper

DUE:


Sketching on tone paper is an awesome traditional technique that transfers well into a digital format.
On this assignment we will cover some basics of this technique and how to apply it towards a digital format. We will cover tips, approaches, and discuss specialized techniques on how to work with toned paper.

-Assignment Guidelines (on 11"x17" paper)-

All drawings must have the following techniques:
- Underdrawing
- Black Pen Line Art
- Grey Marker Values
- White Pen Line Art
- Usage of Vanishing Lines, Implied Lines
- Usage of Textures
- Backdrop BG/Framing Device
